Everybody Reads Celebrates 2nd Anniversary (posted may 4)

Another year has passed for Everybody Reads Bookstore on Michigan Ave. Scott Harris and the gang make sure the place just just keeps getting better. All weekend long (May 3 & 4) authors, writers and community folks dropped by to meet, chat and wish this unique treasure many more successful years. Among the crowd was children's book illustrator, Kate Darnell, Author Terry Olson and painter in Eric Weston. I did some interviews and took some photos.

Musical Saturday at Everybody Reads (Feb 23, 2008)

Ray Davies was at “Everybody Reads” Bookstore, , Saturday, February 23, for a program called “Guitar for a Winter Afternoon”
The well known guitarist played a variety of old and new music from the classical, jazz and bossa nova traditions much to the delight of the crowd

BaseBall Night at Everybody Reads 2/4/08

Haslett author and baseball historian Peter Morris had a launch party for his new book, “But Didn’t We Have Fun?: An Informal History of Baseball’s Pioneer Era, 1843-1870”  Monday Night February 4. at “Everybody Reads Bookstore” .
The evening included a special dramatic presentation based on the book with mid-nineteenth-century ball players in authentic costumes and WILS Radio personalities Jack Ebling and Jim Fordyce. Lots of people met the author and got a signed copy of “But Didn’t We Have Fun?”

Jack Ebling at Everybody Reads 12/15/07

Lansing literary legend, and WILS talk show host, Jack Ebling dropped by EVERYbody Reads to sign his famous books, talk sports and single-handedly ease the burden of thoughtful holiday shopping this weekend. If you missed him, I think he left a few autographed copies for you to buy.
